Position Summary:

The Distribution and Shipping Specialist assists in the coordination of warehouse operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Work with the Warehouse Manager to organize inventory and maintain a functional warehouse and inventory database.
2. Coordinate, schedule, and deliver warehouse items across all markets.
3. Manually handle, pack, and stack warehouse products as needed.
4. Communicate with warehouse manager and purchasing team regarding inventory demands.
5. Ensure consistent cross-departmental communication between the warehouse and all other departments.
6. Assist builders and purchasing team in procuring hard-to-find items.
7. Assist warehouse manager in developing warehouse and distribution strategies.
8. Load delivery vehicle with parcels scheduled for delivery.
9. Deliver items to various locations across all markets; ensure delivery to correct address, obtain signatures and proof of receipt when necessary.
10. Maintain the organization and cleanliness within the warehouse.
11. Operate forklift truck as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proficient in Windows OS and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to learn new software and use company HB1 system.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
• Analytical skills to make sound judgments regarding inventory.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Must be at least 21 years of age to drive a company vehicle.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

• Work in a non-temperature-controlled environment with moderate to high noise levels.
• Ability to be in a vehicle for extended periods.
• Frequently walk, sit, stand, lift, push, and pull objects weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Rarely climb or work in confined or cramped spaces.
