About the Team

The Distribution Sales Manager will be joining the Southern Europe Channel and Ecosystem team at Nutanix, which is focused on building and enhancing relationships with key distributors in the region. This team operates across Austria, Israel, Italy, Spain & Portugal, and Switzerland, cultivating a collaborative and growth-oriented culture. The mission of the team is to achieve common objectives through strategic partnerships and to leverage the channel ecosystem to drive sales growth, ensuring a strong presence in the competitive landscape of distribution.

You will report to the Director of Channel and Ecosystem for Nutanix Southern Europe, who is known for an open-minded leadership style that emphasizes people development and collaboration across various departments. The work setup for this role is primarily remote, with the expectation of high field presence, meaning while remote work is encouraged, the candidate must be comfortable visiting distributors and resellers as needed, with in-person visits varying on demand.

This position requires significant travel, with an anticipated travel percentage of up to 60%. The candidate should be prepared to engage regularly with distributors and resellers, ensuring they maintain an active presence in the field to support the sales initiatives and strengthen partnerships.

Your Role

  • Achieve and exceed sales targets by managing and optimizing the distribution channel.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance distributor performance and pipeline generation.
  • Foster strong relationships with key distributors to build a robust network and facilitate collaboration.
  • Provide on-site support to distributors during events and assist the sales team with distribution-related transactions.
  • Monitor and forecast pipeline activities while actively engaging in pipeline generation initiatives.
  • Conduct analysis of competitive landscape and leverage insights to inform strategic decisions.
  • Enhance internal collaboration with the sales team and Southern Europe leadership to align objectives and maximize performance.
  • Establish a solid understanding of the distributors' challenges and opportunities to drive effective solutions.

What You Will Bring

  • At least 5 years of experience in distribution management.
  • Fluency in native language for location (Italian and Spanish), English, and an additional regional language is a plus.
  • Strong financial knowledge and understanding of the distribution engine.
  • Proficient in Salesforce and familiar with reporting tools like Tableau.
  • Excellent negotiation, influencing, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to structure and manage strategic plans in collaboration with distributors.
  • Proven experience in building relationships within a complex network.
  • Familiarity with competitors and existing networks of targeted distributors.

Work Arrangement

Remote: This position is primarily remote. There is no specific in-office requirement, however, there may be circumstances where you may be required to come into a local office for a specific purpose, and/or to travel to other locations based on business needs.
