Job summary

Frederick Health Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Distribution Assistant to join our distribution team. This full-time role covers all shifts, including weekends, and focuses on efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of supplies to hospital departments.

You will use computerized receiving and inventory systems to support various departments and ensure timely delivery of medical and surgical items, trays, and code carts. A high school diploma and good communication skills are required.

Job Summary:

The Distribution/Receiving Tech

• assures that all supplies and equipment are handled in accordance with departmental policy to allow for timely delivery without any compromise to the material.
• This position provides support for assigned departments by utilizing computerized receiving, inventory, replenishment, and distributions systems.
• S/he is permitted to receive and deliver medical and surgical supplies, pharmaceuticals, procedure trays, and code cart medication trays, to/from the distribution center, pharmacy, and patient care.
• Basic housekeeping duties as required.

Education

High School diploma or GED required.

Experience

Previous experience in Supply Chain distribution and customer service preferred.

Skills

Basic computer skills, positive communication and inter-personal skills are required. Ability to prioritize effectively.

Physical Demands:

Medium Work – Lifting up to 50 pounds on an infrequent basis (less than one lift every three minutes) and/or carrying up to 25 pounds while walking. Pushing or pulling up to 75 pounds infrequently or up to 115 pounds occasionally (no more than once per hour).

Pay is based on experience, skills and education. If position is part-time, salary will be pro-rated based on scheduled hours. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on specialty if applicable. Non-Exempt positions may have shift differential and/or Overtime paid, if applicable.

Hourly range: $17.51 - $22.66
