Goodwin Recruiting is seeking a Distribution Project Manager to support a long-term capital program for a major electric utility. The role covers projects across New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania, with a hybrid field/office setup in Morristown, NJ or Reading, PA.

You will manage 10–20 electrical distribution projects, coordinate design, procurement, and construction activities, and lead bid processes and progress meetings. 5+ years PM exp and PMP preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 5+ years of project management experience supporting electrical distribution/substation projects.
• Experience managing project budgets and schedules.
• Experience coordinating engineering teams, contractors, and utility stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites within a regional service area.

Distribution Project Manager (Utility T&D/Substation)

Location: Morristown, NJ or Reading, PA

A growing utility-focused infrastructure consulting firm is seeking an experienced Distribution Project Manager to support a long-term capital improvement program for a major electric utility. This role will focus on managing electrical distribution construction projects across New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania.

This organization partners with major utilities to help plan and deliver critical infrastructure upgrades that keep the electrical grid reliable and modern. The firm specializes in project and program management services, supporting projects from planning and engineering coordination through construction and project closeout.

This is a long-term program that has already been active for several years and is expected to continue for 5–10 more years, providing stability and growth opportunities for project management professionals.

All Applicants MUST HAVE - Utility electric transmission/distribution and substation experience 34.5 kv to 500 kv experience

Compensation

$110,000 – $160,000 annually (depending on experience)

What You Bring

Work Environment

This role operates in a hybrid field/office environment, with approximately:

• 80% office/project coordination
• 20% field presence supporting construction activities

Project sites are typically within a 1–3 hour radius of the office location.
