Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in electric utility planning.
• Proficiency with one or more planning tools (CYME Dist, CYMTCC, Synergi, Milsoft Windmil or ASPEN One).
• Experience with protection & control, DER, energy storage, and grid studies.
• Ability to travel up to 10% to support clients.

Responsibilities

• Perform protection and coordination studies for distribution networks.
• Identify and resolve issues involving substations and feeders.
• Conduct scenario-based planning studies and recommend solutions.
• Develop medium- and long-range distribution plans for load relief and reliability.
• Create and maintain computer models and databases for distribution systems.
• Forecast loads including DER and electrification-related loads.
• Collaborate with transmission, substation, and SCADA teams for integration.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and promote continuous learning.
