Job summary

J.Crew Group invites applications for a Distribution Planner position at the Home Office. This role supports creation, management, and execution of sales and inventory plans from investment through allocation, providing data and analysis to relevant teams throughout the product lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years in distribution planning or related analytics, strong Excel skills, and a solid grasp of retail math and financial indicators to drive actionable outcomes.

The Role + Purpose:

The Distribution Planner provides support in creating, managing, and executing sales and inventory plans from investment through allocation at the product/category/item level. The Distribution Planner is responsible for providing to the teams relevant data and analysis throughout the product lifecycle.

Financial Planning - Forecasting:

• Provide data and recommendations to influence the development of department/class level plans
• Assist in the development of department/class level allocation strategies
• Develop and execute strategies for packing, pre-packs, size balancing and inventory balancing

Plan Management - Allocation:

• Support in-season management of department/class level plans including ongoing assessments and updates
• Execute initial inventory releases
• Ensure receipt accuracy to support in-season allocation strategies
• Execute in-season price strategies, store level exceptions, and new store allocations

Business Process Management-Supply Chain Operations:

• Execute allocation and replenishment of Basics managed thru demand forecasting and management tools, as required

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• 1-3 years of distribution planning or related analytical experience
• Strong analytic, financial and business acumen skills
• Ability to evaluate financial and business indicators and translate data into actionable information to drive results; proficiency in retail math
• Systems and Tools Acumen:Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and have aptitude to learn technical applications quickly

Salary Range: $64,200.00 - $79,600.00
