Job summary

CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Distribution Planner I to join our Electric Distribution Team in Houston, TX.

You will support electric distribution planning projects that help utilities strengthen grid performance, accommodate growth, and improve service reliability. This role provides a strong foundation for developing technical expertise while contributing to impactful energy infrastructure initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or combination of high school diploma and relevant work experience required;Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • No experience required, but internships or coursework in power distribution preferred
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required; ArcGIS preferred
  • Ability to learn new Work Management systems and tools such as AutoCAD and SAP quickly
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, and aCollaborative mindset
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions

Responsibilities

  • Travel regularly to client sites to assist in field surveys of electrical distribution networks using advanced tools and technology
  • Coordinate new service requests and third-party activities to support grid modernization
  • Interpret as-built documents and analyze electric distribution data using client GIS systems

What You'll Do:
  • Travel regularly to client sites to assist in field surveys of electrical distribution networks using advanced tools and technology

Salary Range:

$24.30 - $29.70

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
