Job summary

Groundworks in the United States is seeking a Distribution Manager to lead the distribution center operations, ensuring timely delivery of foundation repair materials to nationwide jobsites. You will optimize inventory, coordinate transportation, and manage a skilled team to uphold safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

The role requires 3+ years in distribution, strong leadership, and proficiency with WMS/ERP systems. Occasional travel to centers and sites may be required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain/Logistics/Business Administration or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of distribution, warehouse or logistics experience.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management, logistics, and transportation best practices.
  • Proficiency with WMS, ERP software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience with foundation repair or construction supply chains is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to centers, branches or supplier sites.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of distribution center operations including receiving, storage, inventory control, order fulfillment, and shipping.
  • Develop and implement distribution strategies that improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Coordinate logistics and transportation to ensure timely delivery to branches and job sites.
  • Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with procurement and manufacturing to maintain stock.
  • Lead, train, and develop distribution center staff for a high-performance, safety-conscious team.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, policies, and quality standards.
  • Utilize WMS and ERP tools to track inventory and streamline workflows.
  • Analyze distribution metrics and KPIs to identify improvements and cost savings.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, operations, and manufacturing.
  • Manage relationships with 3PLs and transportation vendors.
  • Oversee maintenance of distribution equipment and facilities.
  • Prepare reports for senior leadership on performance and challenges.

To be a contributing member of the team, this role enables the organization to develop by optimizing logistics, inventory management, and distribution processes that ensure seamless supply chain operations. The Distribution Manager plays a key role in maintaining Groundworks’ reputation for reliability, quality, and customer satisfaction by ensuring that our branches and job sites receive the right products at the right time.Duties and ResponsibilitiesManage all aspects of distribution center operations including receiving, storage, inventory control, order fulfillment, and shipping.Develop and implement distribution strategies that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and support Groundworks’ rapid growth and service excellence.Coordinate logistics and transportation to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to Groundworks branches and job sites.Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with procurement and manufacturing teams to maintain optimal stock availability.Lead, train, and develop distribution center staff to foster a high-performance, safety-conscious team environment.Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and quality standards within the distribution operations.Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and other technology tools to track inventory and streamline distribution workflows.Analyze distribution metrics and KPIs to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, operations, and manufacturing to support customer demands and project schedules.Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and transportation vendors.Oversee maintenance of distribution equipment and facilities to ensure operational readiness.Prepare reports and provide regular updates to senior leadership on distribution performance and challenges.It is an essential function of this job that the employee regularly and reliably reports to work on time each working day.Perform other duties as necessary or assigned.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.Minimum 3 years of experience in distribution, warehouse management, or logistics, preferably in construction materials or related industries.Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams in a fast-paced distribution environment.Strong knowledge of inventory management, logistics, and transportation best practices.Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP software, and Microsoft Office Suite.Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners.Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.Experience with foundation repair or construction supply chains is a plus.Willingness to occasionally travel to distribution centers, branch locations, or supplier sites.Working ConditionsPrimarily based onsite in a distribution center in Olathe, KS with standard business hours; may require occasional extended hours to meet operational needs.This role has a salary range of $80,000-$100,000.
