Eversource is seeking an engineer to support the execution, implementation, and maintenance of the Company’s electric network modeling tools, including DMS and Synergi Electric. You will work with a team across states to optimize the distribution system, ensure safe and reliable operations, and support multi-disciplinary project activities.
The role requires a Bachelor’s in engineering and 3-5 years of experience, with travel across MA/CT/NH and potential emergency work.

The Engineer is responsible for directly supporting the execution, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of the Company’s electric network modeling tools which include the Distribution Management System (DMS) and Synergi Electric applications. Individual will be part of a team of engineers who support the Company’s electrical control centers by providing guidance on optimizing the distribution system for delivering safe, reliable, and resilient energy to our customers while maximizing the value of clean energy resources. Individual will also support multi-disciplinary teams responsible for all phases of implementation including technology review and selection; defining project budget, scope, and schedule; project management; internal and external reporting and tracking; and stakeholder engagement.
Technical Knowledge/Skill: Thorough understanding of electrical engineering concepts such as load flow, stability voltage regulation, power factor, losses, load and generation modeling; Experience modeling electric distribution systems and thorough knowledge of electric distribution operational technologies such as DMS, OMS, GIS, SCADA, EMS, Synergi/Cyme; Basic understanding of communication systems and protocols, such as DNP, used in SCADA control systems; Strong analytical skills including experience using qualitative tools in strategic development; Demonstrated business development aptitude with strong presentation skills; Ideal candidate is customer driven, displays initiative as a change agent with a can-do attitude, accepts responsibility and holds others accountable and makes sound decisions to support strategic objectives.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering.

Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required. Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary. Depending on the specific nature of the engineering role, position may require occasional to significant travel by car. A valid driver’s license is required.

Salary is commensurate with your experience. This position is eligible for a potential incentive. The annual salary range for this position is: $100,490.00-$111,660.00.
