Job description

Now Brewing – Distribution Machine Operator!

At the Distribution Center, we manage the flow of Starbucks products from suppliers to customers worldwide. Our environment values safety, teamwork, diversity & inclusion, and shared success.

As a Distribution Machine Operator, you will:
  1. Operate system controls and make minor adjustments for automation equipment, including gantry, ASRS, tote and carton shuttle, carton erectors, stretch wrappers, etc.
  2. Perform Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) procedures on equipment.
  3. Clear jams and troubleshoot issues throughout the system.
We’d love to hear from candidates with:
  • At least 2 years of experience operating manual and automated equipment
  • 1+ year performing quality tests using analytical tools
  • 1+ year in a regulated food manufacturing environment
  • Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and minor adjustments
  • High school diploma/GED, US military service, or equivalent
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to understand policies, guidelines, and safety standards
  • Teamwork skills and ability to work in diverse environments
  • Ability to work safely and adhere to sanitation standards
  • Experience repairing minor mechanical issues and analyzing quality data
  • Ability to train others and evaluate effectiveness
  • Basic math skills, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities
  • Knowledge of automated machines and tools
  • Flexibility to work variable shifts as needed
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations, GFSI standards, and certification schemes like BRC or SQF
