Job summary

Tops is seeking a Distribution Logistics and Systems Analyst to develop systems and analyses supporting distribution center operations, aiming to enhance store service levels while maximizing efficiency and reducing costs.

The role involves database and report development with SQL and Visual Basic, building user-friendly tools, and generating ad hoc warehouse reports. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field and strong English communication are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or progress toward one in Business, Supply Chain Management, or Information Systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
• Understanding of relational database principles.
• Experience with SQL Management Studio preferred.
• Knowledge or experience with BI applications is a plus.
• Experience in supply chain/logistics is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to varying shifts.
• Proficient in English with strong communication skills.
• Compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide database and analytical support for the distribution center operations team.
• Develop and update database structures and reports using SQL and Visual Basic.
• Design and implement business and system solutions based on user and business requirements.
• Develop user-friendly tools for various mainframe applications.
• Manage the human resources associate discipline tracking database.
• Generate ad hoc reports as requested by the operations team.
• Build ad hoc database reports using Microsoft Access.
• Create item attribute reports to identify data inaccuracies and update the warehouse management system.
• Provide ongoing support to the warehouse operations team as needed.
• Prioritize multiple tasks to meet target deadlines.
• Maintain high attention to detail, integrity, and reliability.
• Work in a cold perishable or frozen warehouse environment if needed.
• Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.
• Troubleshoot and maintain warehouse equipment
