Job summary

NFI Industries in Rincon, GA is seeking a Distribution Logistics Coordinator to support customer transportation needs, coordinate with carriers, schedule orders and track shipments to ensure timely deliveries. You will act as a liaison among operations, carriers and customers, maintaining proactive communication to prevent delays and service issues.

Responsibilities

• Services both external and internal customer needs on a regular basis.

• Provide load and/or order tracking/tracing and complete adjustments as needed.
• Repowers loads as carriers cover expedites and arrive.
• Coordinate daily communication to all parties on potential service issues, problems and delays.
• Compile data for daily reports and share with stakeholders.
• Transmit carrier information to customers to expedite future orders.
• Coordinate scheduling of appointments with customers.
• Act as liaison between operations, carrier and customer in administration of orders.
• Communicate feedback to management, including signs of dissatisfaction.
• Prepare shipping and tracing information for customers/management as required.
• Interact positively with customers, operations and carriers.
• Assist with other administrative duties as needed by management.

Overview

The Distribution Logistics Coordinator ensures that our customer transportation needs are met or exceeded by providing excellent customer service. Other responsibilities include, but not limited to, answering/routing calls, planning and scheduling, other clerical duties as directed by management.
Responsibilities

• Services both external and internal customer needs on a regular basis
• Coordinates on the scheduling of orders with carriers (internal. external and/or brokerage)
• Manage shipment queue and priority lists
• Provides load and/or order tracking/tracing and completes adjustments as needed
• Repowers loads as carrier fall off/cover expedites orders as they arrive
• Coordinates daily communication to all parties involved on potential service issues, problems and/or delays
• Compiles data for daily reports
• Compiles and transmits carrier information to customers to expedite future orders
• Coordinate on the scheduling of appointments with customers.
• Acts as a liaison between operations, carrier and the customer in administration of orders
• Communicates feedback to management, including any signs of dissatisfaction
• Prepares shipping and tracing information to customers/management as required
• Positively interacts with customers, operations and carriers
• Assists with other administrative duties as needed by management

Qualifications

• Computer applications using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel PowerPoint).
• Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations.
• Ability to multi-task and manage priority lists
• Previous transportation and/or DOT experience helpful
• Prior customer service experience
• High School Degree required
• Ability and availability to work irregular or extended hours including nights, weekends and holidays as needed by the customer.
• Should be able to work in environments with variable noise levels, lighting conditions and temperature variation and able to access all areas of building without limitations.
