Job summary

Electric Power Research Institute, Inc. seeks a Distribution Infrastructure Technical Leader II in Charlotte, NC to oversee research, testing, and evaluation of overhead distribution components such as poles, conductors, and connectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
• 3–8 years of relevant engineering, testing, research, or utility industry experience.
• Familiarity with utility distribution infrastructure and associated equipment.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively both independently and within a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Testing & Evaluation: Support testing and performance evaluation of overhead distribution system components.
• Develop, assemble, and execute experimental test setups to support research objectives.
• Collect, validate, and interpret testing data to assess equipment performance and reliability.
