Northwestern Mutual is seeking a Distribution Finance Intern to assist with financial reporting and modeling for the Network Office aligns with our financial goals. You will work closely with your mentor and team to develop practical skills in accounting and finance within a large financial services organization.

The role emphasizes hands-on experience in financial statement extracts, modeling tools, and access management, with a 3+ day in-office expectation during the summer period.

Qualifications

• Junior class or higher with expected graduation of May 2028 or after.
• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field from an accredited college or university
• Cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher
• Previous work or classroom experience in one or more of: Accounting, Finance
• Be able to adhere to 3+ day in-office policy (only during summer period)

Responsibilities

• Build monthly Network Office (NO) and District Network Office (DNO) Financial Statement Extracts (FSE).
• Monitor financial results of FSE and assist in updating financial models.
• Grant system access (LinkNet) to Field Partners with hiring manager and mentor.
• Support projects and data requests as needed.
