Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Distribution Engineering Supervisor for Oahu, HI. You’ll lead a team of 5–8 engineers to create design and construction work packages for overhead and underground distribution from 4kV to 138kV, collaborating with clients to ensure high-quality outcomes.

You will manage day-to-day assignments, provide technical leadership, and train junior staff while coordinating across GIS/CAD tools and field operations. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant experience required.
• ABET-accredited engineering degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial; other experience may be considered.
• Experience with NESC standards and design tools like MicroStation/AutoCAD; GIS experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead team of 5-8 engineers to develop design and construction work packages for distribution systems from 4kV to 138kV.
• Oversee day-to-day assignments and provide technical leadership for engineers and designers.
• Develop construction work packages, including engineering calculations and constructability concerns.
• Train junior engineers and designers; oversee onboarding and performance of direct reports.
• Coordinate with clients and internal teams to ensure scope, schedule, and budget adherence.
• Perform engineering calculations (pole loading, sag/tension, voltage drop) and QA/QC of submissions.
• Support field activities and post-construction reviews to ensure standards compliance.
