Job summary

Duke Energy's distribution engineering team seeks an Engineer II/III to manage electric distribution projects from concept to completion, collaborating with customers, developers and operations to deliver reliable, safe solutions.

The engineer will work in a hybrid setting from remote and on-site locations, field-visit most construction sites, and progressively take on more independent project leadership with strong customer service focus.

Qualifications

• Must have BS in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Minimum of 2 years of engineering experience for Engineer II.
• Master's degree in Engineering will be considered in lieu of the B.S. degree.

Responsibilities

• Provides engineering/technical expertise and guidance through problem identification and resolution.
• Contributes to team planning, scheduling and monitoring of activities.
• Field visits to customer construction sites and coordination with stakeholders.
