Job summary

Renegade Group is seeking an entry-level Distribution Electrician Helper to assist with the construction, maintenance, and repair of electrical distribution systems. This role emphasizes learning safe work practices, tools, and procedures under direct supervision, with CDL preferred.

You will support overhead and underground distribution work, perform ground work, load and transport materials, and assist with pole setting and equipment installation. Overtime and storm response may be required.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position; prior construction or utility experience preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL permit or ability to obtain preferred.
• Willingness to learn and advance within the trade.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with construction, maintenance, and repair of overhead and underground distribution systems
• Perform ground work including digging, backfilling, trenching, and site preparation
• Load, unload, stage, and transport tools, equipment, and materials
• Assist with pole setting, framing, and hardware installation
• Support installation and removal of conductors, transformers, switches, and related equipment
• Set up work zones, traffic control, and job site protection
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in safe and orderly condition
• Follow all OSHA, NESC, and company safety rules and procedures
• Participate in safety meetings, training, and required certification programs
• Assist with outage response, emergency work, and storm restoration
• Complete basic work documentation as required
