Job summary

AEP Texas Company, Inc. is seeking a Distribution Dispatcher Associate to assist in safe and reliable operation, dispatching and restoration of the distribution system. You will coordinate outage responses, authorize energizing of facilities, and maintain outage records while ensuring safety and compliance.

The role requires technical education (associate/bachelor) and the ability to live within 30 minutes of the location, with rotating shifts and a focus on reliability under pressure.

Promotion and/or equity adjustments within the classification will be made in salary upon successful completion of the required training and testing.Must be able to work under pressure during periods of critical system conditions and deal with diverse situations simultaneously. Critical decisions must be made affecting reliability and priority of service to customers.
