Summary:

This position is responsible for providing operational and leadership support to the DC Supervisor. This includes planning and organizing department goals, the flow of work, and the hours in the department. You will lead a group of dedicated associates by building a collaborative environment and communicating business needs while addressing training needs with associates. Ensure a welcoming, fun, and safe place to work.

Hours: Monday-Friday 5pm-1am

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist Supervisor in planning and organizing department goals by understanding priorities and taking a proactive approach to the flow of work and managing hours in department.
  2. Effectively communicate with Supervisor and associates both verbally and in writing.
  3. Partner with Supervisor to assist associates in forming a team environment through strong floor performance and model a positive, professional behavior at all times.
  4. Possess common knowledge of all DC systems, ensuring associates follow procedures and provide performance feedback.
  5. Coordinate the training of current and new hire associates.
  6. Promote and take an interest in generating safety awareness.

Qualifications:

  1. Knowledge of DC operations is useful.
  2. Exceptional performance record and ability to maintain those standards.
  3. Knowledge of PC's and software and the ability to quickly learn new systems.
  4. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  5. Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships and interact constructively.
  6. Ensure that associates follow all safety, hazardous material, and OSHA training, rules, and reporting; actively participate in accident prevention initiatives to ensure a safe work environment.

Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job and assist in all areas, including but not limited to:

  1. Ability to stand continuously for long periods, up to 10 hours per day.
  2. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds up to 50% of the working hours; lifting may be above or below shoulder or waist level.
  3. Ability to push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel, and stoop frequently.
  4. Ability to use hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity to grasp and hold continuously.
  5. Ability to function in elevated locations.
  6. Ability to successfully complete power equipment training.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
