Job summary

Almo Corporation in Morrow, GA is seeking a Distribution Center Lead to manage a DC team’s daily workload, coach staff, and ensure SOP adherence.

This role requires forklift experience, strong organization, and problem-solving to support safety, quality, and productivity goals in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

You will pull data, participate in process improvements, and coordinate with the Distribution Center Supervisor to optimize operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma is required.
• 3-5 years warehouse experience including forklift skills and load/unload.
• Demonstrated problem-solving, decision making and prioritization skills.
• Understanding of department work flow and staffing; ability to manage production flow.
• Well organized, detail oriented and able to meet deadlines; can prioritize from multiple sources and adapt to fluctuating workload.
• Excellent interpersonal and motivational skills; positive attitude.
• Ability to take charge and get things done.

Responsibilities

Position Summary

The Distribution Center Lead executes and facilitates the day-to-day functions and workload of a specific DC functional team. Acts as technical go to for SOPs, safety, efficiency and operations for a specific team.

What You Will Do In This Role

• Provide daily hands-on support and direction for the team in their general warehouse duties, in training, onboarding and SOP education/adherence and ongoing coaching and mentoring to develop team members.
• Drive compliance with safety, quality and productivity goals in support of warehouse leadership team objectives.
• Provide recommendations on process improvement and assists in implementation.
• Pull data and runs reports from AS400 as needed.
• Other duties/projects as required by Distribution Center Supervisor

Qualifications

What we look for in a candidate

• High School diploma
• 3-5 years Warehouse experience including forklift skills, warehouse handling and organization, truck loading and unloading.
• Demonstrated problem-solving, decision making, prioritization and critical thinking skills
• Full understanding of all aspects of department (work flow, staffing) / ability to manage production work flow;
• Well organized, detail oriented, and able to meet scheduled deadlines; Able to prioritize work from multiple sources & adjust to fluctuating work load
