Pride Mobility Products Corporation is seeking a Distribution Center Supervisor to oversee daily operations, supervise staff, and coordinate schedules to maximize productivity and quality. The role emphasizes safety, compliance, and customer service while supporting management with Lean initiatives.

You will lead a team, monitor shipping/receiving, and implement process improvements, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to standards within a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with coordinating daily schedules, order flow, and distribution processes to optimize operational efficiency, output, and quality.
  • Assist with monitoring shipping, receiving, and inventory operations to meet productivity, quality, and cost goals, and address issues as needed.
  • Assist with coordinating the scheduling of incoming containers, pickup of empty containers, and maintenance of storage container records.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the warehouse, monitor product flow, and promptly address issues as they arise.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with all employees.
  • Coordinate employee training and cross-training, adjust daily personnel assignments to maximize output, and ensure employees follow procedures.
  • Assist Management with employee development plans and the development or revision of Standard Work Procedures.
  • Ensure teams prioritize customer service, quality, reliability, and timeliness.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities that reduce costs and enhance performance.
  • Ensure daily operations are safe and effective and conduct regular safety audits.
  • Keep work areas organized, maintain clear aisles, and reinforce safe practices.
  • Operate powered industrial trucks and RF scanners to load/unload goods and assist with warehouse duties.
  • Assist with monitoring staffing needs and adjust based on workload and productivity goals.
  • Organize warehouse work areas and use resources to optimize productivity.
  • Assist with monitoring use of supplies, control costs, and provide input on expenditures.
  • Recommend improvements to materials, equipment, tooling, products, and processes and assist with changes.
  • Communicate effectively with employees and management at all levels.
  • Assist with processing time-off requests and maintain staffing levels.
  • Ensure personnel are current on procedures in the Learning Management System (Litmos).
  • Maintain compliance with FDA, OSHA, and Pride policies.
  • Reinforce Lean principles and 5S/visual controls.
  • Maintain administrative records for assigned areas.
  • Assist management with documenting objectives, motivating staff, and enforcing policies.
  • Ensure safety and security rules are observed and report incidents.
  • Complete annual CTPAT Security Training.
  • Assign, train, and develop employees based on goals and experience.
  • Develop goals and measure outcomes to ensure targets are met.
  • Focus on continuous improvement and sound business judgment.
  • Work with Pride departments to exceed expectations.

DESCRIPTION/JOB SUMMARY

Supervise Pride's Distribution Center employees and daily operations to meet or exceed productivity, quality, safety, and customer service goals while supporting Management and maintaining compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
  • Assist with coordinating daily schedules, order flow, and distribution processes to optimize operational efficiency, output, and quality
  • Assist with monitoring shipping, receiving, and inventory operations to meet established productivity, quality, and cost goals, and address or elevate issues as needed
  • Assist with coordinating the scheduling of incoming containers, pickup of empty containers, and maintenance of storage container records in collaboration with Management
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the warehouse, monitor product flow, and promptly address issues as they arise
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with all employees
  • Coordinate employee training and cross-training, adjust daily personnel assignments to maximize output, and ensure employees follow established operational and organizational procedures
  • Assist Management with employee development plans and the development or revision of Standard Work Procedures based on departmental goals and employee needs
  • Ensure teams consistently prioritize customer service, quality, reliability, and timeliness
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities that enhance performance and reduce costs
  • Ensure daily operations are safe and effective and conduct regular audits of safety measures
  • Keep work areas organized and clean, maintain clear aisles and walkways, and reinforce safe work practices
  • Operate powered industrial trucks and RF scanners to load and unload finished goods from containers, trailers, and racked locations, and assist with general warehouse duties as needed
  • Assist with monitoring daily staffing needs and recommend adjustments to Management based on workload, employee experience, and productivity goals
  • Organize warehouse work areas and use available resources to optimize productivity and efficiency
  • Assist with monitoring the use of departmental supplies and resources, control avoidable costs, and provide input to Management on expenditures and budget needs
  • Recommend improvements to materials, equipment, tooling, products, and processes, and assist with implementing approved changes
  • Communicate effectively with employees and all levels of management
  • Assist with processing time-off requests through the time management system while maintaining appropriate departmental staffing levels
  • Ensure all personnel are current to any new and updated procedures in the Learning Management System (Litmos)
  • Maintain compliance with Food & Drug Administration (FDA), Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA), and Pride policies and procedures
  • Reinforce Lean principles and Visual Factory practices, including 5S and visual controls
  • Assist with maintaining required administrative records and documents for assigned areas of responsibility
  • Assist Management with documenting and communicating objectives, positively impacting employee morale, motivating team members, conducting performance appraisals, addressing individual or group performance issues, and consistently enforcing company policies, procedures, best practices, and applicable law
  • Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents or injuries are promptly reported to management
  • Complete the annual CTPAT Security Training
  • Assign, train, and develop employees based on experience and departmental goals
  • Assist with developing goals and objectives, and measuring outcomes to ensure goals are met
  • Focus on continuous improvement, and consistently demonstrate good business judgment
  • Work effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectations
  • Pride retains the discretion to modify duties and/or assign other duties as necessary
REQUIRED SKILLS

Must have the ability to:

Must have:

  • Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs. preferred
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
  • At least 5 years of production, warehouse, and/or distribution center experience, including safely operating various types of forklifts/industrial powered equipment and RF scanners
  • At least 1 year of experience directing the work of other employees in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment as a Lead or Supervisor
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • At least 3 years of experience supervising at least 10 staff members preferred
  • At least 1 year of experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean principles, 5S, or Visual Factory practices preferred
  • At least 1 year of experience supporting FDA, OSHA, CTPAT, and applicable safety and security requirements preferred
  • Current or previous successful employment experience with Pride Mobility Products Corporation preferred

  • High School Diploma or GED
