Job summary

TAPCO (Traffic and Parking Control Co., LLC) is seeking a Distribution Center Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse and logistics operations, coordinating shipping, receiving, outbound activities, and inventory management in a fast-paced environment. You will balance labor with corporate targets and act as a bridge between upper management and floor staff.

This role requires two years of leadership in a distribution setting, strong knowledge of logistics, and proficiency with warehouse

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or related field.
  • At least two years of leadership experience in a distribution center or warehouse.
  • Strong transportation knowledge and proficiency in WMS and data analytics.
  • Deep understanding of supply chain logistics and WMS software.
  • Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Excel data analysis.
  • Ability to resolve workplace conflicts.
  • Time management and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and safety regulations.
  • Preferred: two years managing teams and proven leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily inbound and outbound logistics operations.
  • Schedule and assign tasks to warehouse personnel.
  • Monitor order picking accuracy and packing standards.
  • Conduct routine inventory cycle counts and audits.
  • Enforce strict OSHA and company safety protocols.
  • Track employee productivity and key performance metrics.
  • Maintain warehouse management systems with precise data.
  • Resolve delivery delays and inventory tracking discrepancies.
  • Coordinate routine maintenance for materials handling equipment.
  • Train staff in operational procedures and equipment.
  • Stay current on all emails, projects, and expectations as directed by the DC manager.

Position Overview

The Distribution Center (DC) Supervisor oversees daily warehouse and logistics operations to ensure seamless workflows. Operating in a fast‑paced environment, they coordinate shipping, receiving, outbound operations, and inventory management. They act as a critical link between upper management and floor staff, balancing labor allocation with corporate targets. By monitoring key metrics and resolving operational bottlenecks, they ensure internal and external customer orders are processed accurately, safely, and on schedule.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Manage daily inbound and outbound logistics operations.
  • Schedule and assign tasks to warehouse personnel.

  • Deep understanding of supply chain logistics and mastery of warehouse management systems software.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Excel data analysis.
  • Ability to resolve workplace conflicts effectively.
  • Sharp critical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational capacity.
  • Understanding of OSHA and safety regulations.
  • Preferred: Minimum two years managing teams; Proven track record of effective team leadership and operational excellence.
