American Woodmark Corporation in Hamlet, NC, is seeking a Distribution Supervisor to oversee warehouse staff and ensure daily shipping goals while maintaining a safe work environment.

You will lead hiring and training, drive OSHA compliance, and deliver excellent customer service, working with a diverse team in a fast-paced setting.

A Bachelor’s degree is preferred and bilingual English/Spanish a plus, with opportunities for growth.

POSITION PURPOSE:

The Distribution Supervisor's primary job function is to oversee the warehouse workers and ensure that daily shipping goals are being met as well ensuring a safe work environment.

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to excel at the essential functions assigned. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability required.

Experience

• 3 or more years of effective/progressive leadership experience in a distribution environment
• Previous experience with Big Box retailers a plus
• Bi-lingual in English/Spanish preferred but not required

Skills

• Must possess strong management and leadership skills and demonstrated ability to effectively lead and motivate a diverse group of employees
• Excellent working knowledge of safety practices and regulations, including OSHA compliance
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment, be a team player and have the proven ability to multi-task in a deadline-driven environment.

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Bachelor's Degree in business or related field from an accredited college or university is preferred
