Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Oxnard, CA. This role offers reliable, fixed anchor shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts via the scheduling platform, enabling you to earn more while maintaining a stable base schedule.

The position emphasizes customer service, unarmed patrols, access control, and incident response. Minimum requirements include age, education, and background checks; driving positions may require a valid license.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, donors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of distribution, processing, storage, loading, parking, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, unsecured access points, and potential hazards.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization as directed, and maintain accurate visitor, delivery, and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, facility concerns, and policy violations to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
