Job summary

Solventum is hiring an Operations Manager to lead the Forest City Distribution Center's daily distribution operations. You will oversee inbound/outbound flows, labor planning, safety and cost performance, while driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.

As part of the site operating committee, you’ll coach supervisors and frontline teams, manage expenses, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver strong operational results. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with seven years of experience in supply chain, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, and/or operations.
• Direct supervisory experience.
• Project implementation / project management experience.
• Additional qualifications include a degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, Business, or Engineering.
• Five years of direct supervisory experience (preferred).
• Three years of project implementation and/or project management experience.

• Leading daily distribution center operations, including inbound, outbound, material flow and warehouse activities to meet safety, service, quality, cost, and productivity objectives.
• Developing and executing labor, equipment, space, and capacity plans to support operational requirements and targets.
• Ensuring compliance with EHS, regulatory, transportation, import/export, security and product handling requirements.
• Monitoring and improving key operational metrics, identifying performance gaps, and implementing corrective actions and improvements.
• Providing leadership and accountability for supervisors, frontline employees, and industrial engineering resources.
• Managing operating expenses, labor utilization, productivity, and overtime to meet financial and operational goals.
• Leading tier meetings, operating reviews, and Gemba walks to align resources and drive execution.
• Partnering with logistics and supply chain stakeholders to communicate performance and support business reviews.

The Impact You'll Make in This Role

The Operations Manager will lead the daily operations of the Forest City Distribution Center (DC), serving as a member of the site operating committee and overseeing warehouse operations, labor planning, service delivery, and performance. This hands‑on leader will drive safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance; lead supervisors and frontline teams; and implement continuous improvements to support business objectives. Primary Responsibilities

• Leading daily distribution center operations, including inbound, outbound, material flow, and warehouse activities to meet safety, service, quality, cost, and productivity objectives.
• Developing and executing labor, equipment, space, and capacity plans to support operational requirements and achieve performance targets.
• Ensuring compliance with environmental, health and safety (EHS), regulatory, transportation, import/export, security, and product handling requirements.
• Monitoring and improving key operational metrics; identifying performance gaps; and implementing corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Providing leadership, coaching, and accountability for supervisors, frontline employees, and industrial engineering resources to drive engagement and results.
• Managing operating expenses, labor utilization, productivity, and overtime to achieve financial and operational objectives.
• Leading tier meetings, operating reviews, and Gemba walks to align resources, remove barriers, and drive execution.
• Partnering with logistics and supply chain stakeholders to communicate performance, address risks, and support business reviews.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) and seven (7) years of supply chain, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, and/or operations experience

In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:

• Direct supervisory experience
• Project implementation / project management experience

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, Business, or Engineering
• Five (5) years of direct supervisory experience
• Three (3) years of project implementation and/or project management experience
• Experience leading operations in a high-volume distribution, warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics environment
• Demonstrated success managing safety, quality, service, cost, productivity, inventory accuracy, and compliance performance
• Experience coaching, developing, and leading frontline teams while fostering accountability and engagement
• Experience applying Lean principles, standard work, visual management, and continuous improvement methodologies

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $143,200 - $196,900, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
