Job summary

Amarr Company in Memphis, TN is seeking an experienced Distribution Center Manager to lead the warehouse team, drive profitability, and ensure safe, efficient operations. You will work closely with sales, customer service, and logistics to meet daily goals and deliver excellent service.

The role requires strong leadership, budget awareness, and hands-on supervision of exempt and hourly staff, with a focus on continuous improvement, OSHA compliance, and accurate inventory control.

Qualifications

• Prior warehouse management experience required (minimum 3 years preferred).
• Experience working with budgets, P&L statements, and logistics.
• Verbal, written, and interpersonal skills for sales.
• College education or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Account for daily execution of company defined program processes.
• Monitor measurements against budget and targets of key performance metrics.
• Review cost of operations and enhance profitability of the Door Center, including sales calls.
• Staff, develop, supervise, and direct all exempt Door Center personnel, and hourly office staff.
• Lead Continuous Improvement efforts at the location.
• Oversee and verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of merchandise, and keeping of warehouse inventory.
• Ensure OSHA compliance; enforce safety, security, care of equipment, and facility rules.
• Effect changes to achieve weekly inventory, scrap, and damage goals.

The GM isresponsiblefor theprofitabilityofthe distributioncenter andmakescertainallprocessesandproceduresarefollowedefficiently. Specifically, the GM isaccountablefor sales,expensemanagement, people management, andinventorymanagement.

Inthispositionyouwill:

Accountfordailyexecutionofcompanydefinedprogramprocesses.

Monitormeasurementsagainstbudget, and/ortargetsofkeyperformancemetrics.

Reviewcostofoperations andenhanceprofitabilityofDoor Center,includingsales calls.

Ensurethatcorporateprogramsregardingsafety,security,careofequipment, andfacilityareenforced;therebyguaranteeingOSHAcompliance.

Workingconditionsandexperience:

Requirements:

Priorwarehousemanagementexperiencerequired(minimum 3yearspreferred).

Experienceworkingwithbudgets, P&Lstatements, andlogistics.

Experienceworkingwithexternalcustomersin aflow-throughwarehouse.

Verbal,written,and interpersonalskillsfor sales.

Goodsupervisory,leadership, andmotivationalskills.

Collegeeducationorrelatedexperience.
