Job description

Join to apply for the Distribution Center Loader role at NAPA Auto Parts.

This position is responsible for staging, shrink wrapping, and loading products by trip and store number as received from the stockroom. It involves preparing palletized loads for shipment, ensuring safety and proper handling, assisting with pallet building, and selecting products for routes.

Responsibilities include:

  • Staging products, shrink wrapping, and loading pallets onto trucks
  • Inspecting trailers for suitability before loading
  • Ensuring correct parts are loaded onto the correct trucks with accuracy and efficiency
  • Operating pallet jacks or forklifts as needed
  • Maintaining product integrity through proper handling and storage
  • Keeping the work area clean and organized
  • Pulling stock orders and assisting with other warehouse shuttle processing
  • Following all safety procedures and regulations
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or 6 months of equivalent experience
  • Forklift certification preferred
  • Reliable attendance
  • Clear communication skills
  • Ability to recognize letters and numbers, both visually and aurally
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs., push/pull up to 300 lbs. with aids
  • Ability to reach and bend, and get in/out of trucks safely
  • Ability to stand and walk for entire shift

Work Environment: Occasionally exposed to moving machinery, hazardous materials, and extreme weather. Noise level is usually moderate.

This position offers a starting hourly rate of $22.50, with potential pay progression within 12 months. Benefits include health insurance, 401(k), paid time off, employee stock purchase plan, tuition reimbursement, and wellness programs.
