Join to apply for the Distribution Center Loader role at NAPA Auto Parts.

Position Mission

This position is responsible for staging, shrink-wrapping, and loading products by trip number and store number as received from the packing and pulling areas of the stockroom. It involves preparing palletized loads for shipment, ensuring safe transportation and storage, and assisting with pallet building and product selection for specific routes.

Responsibilities
  • Stage products on pallets, shrink-wrap to prevent loss, and load pallets onto trucks.
  • Inspect trailers for suitability before loading.
  • Ensure correct parts are loaded onto the correct trucks, packing for delivery with accuracy and speed, and organizing the loading of customer orders.
  • Operate pallet jack or forklift as needed.
  • Maintain product integrity through proper handling and storage.
  • Keep work area clean to prevent accidents and facilitate rapid loading.
  • Pull stock orders as needed before loading trucks.
  • Assist with processing other DC shuttles.
  • Follow all safety procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Experience, Education, and Abilities
  • High School Diploma or 6 months of equivalent work experience.
  • Forklift certification preferred.
  • Reliable, predictable attendance required.
  • Ability to speak clearly, listen attentively, and recognize letters and numbers (visual and auditory).
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. and push/pull up to 300 lbs. using mechanical aids.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach shelves, and get in/out of trucks safely.
  • Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift.
Work Environment

Exposure to moving mechanical parts, hazardous materials, and outside weather conditions, with moderate noise levels.
