Join to apply for the Distribution Center Loader role at NAPA Auto Parts.

Position Mission

This position is responsible for staging, shrink-wrapping, and loading products by trip number and store number as received from the packing and pulling areas of the stockroom. It also involves preparing palletized loads for shipment, ensuring safe transportation or storage, and assisting with pallet building and product selection for routes.

Responsibilities

  1. Stage products on pallets, shrink-wrap to prevent loss, and load pallets onto trucks.
  2. Inspect trailers for suitability before loading.
  3. Ensure correct parts are loaded onto the correct trucks, accurately and efficiently organizing the loading of customer orders.
  4. Operate pallet jacks or forklifts as needed.
  5. Maintain product integrity through proper handling and storage.
  6. Keep the work area clean to ensure safety and efficiency.
  7. Pull stock orders as needed for loading.
  8. Assist with processing other distribution center shuttles.
  9. Follow all safety procedures, rules, and regulations.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Experience, Education, and Abilities

  1. High School Diploma or 6 months of equivalent work experience.
  2. Forklift certification preferred.
  3. Reliable and predictable attendance.
  4. Clear communication skills.
  5. Ability to recognize and remember letters and numbers.
  6. Basic computer skills.
  7. Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. and push/pull up to 300 lbs. with aids.
  8. Ability to bend, stoop, and reach shelves, using ladders if necessary.
  9. Ability to get in and out of trucks safely.
  10. Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift.

Work Environment

Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, hazardous materials, and outside weather conditions. Noise levels are usually moderate.
