Job description

Join to apply for the Distribution Center Loader role at NAPA Auto Parts.

This position is responsible for staging, shrink-wrapping, and loading products by trip and store number as received from the stockroom. It involves preparing palletized loads for shipment, ensuring safe transportation and storage, and assisting with pallet building and product selection for routes.

Responsibilities include:

• Staging products on pallets, shrink-wrapping, and loading onto trucks.
• Inspecting trailers for suitability before loading.
• Ensuring correct parts are loaded onto the correct trucks for delivery.
• Operating pallet jacks or forklifts as needed.
• Maintaining proper handling and storage to preserve product integrity.
• Keeping the work area clean and safe.
• Pulling stock orders and assisting with processing other DC shuttles.
• Following all safety procedures and performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications include:

• High School Diploma or 6 months of relevant experience.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Reliable attendance and clear communication skills.
• Ability to recognize letters and numbers, and basic computer skills.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. and push/pull up to 300 lbs. with aids.
• Ability to bend, reach, and work in various positions, including in and out of trucks.
• Ability to stand and walk throughout shifts.

Work environment: Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, hazardous materials, and weather extremes. Noise levels are moderate.
