Job summary

Andrews Distributing is seeking a Distribution Center Inventory Clerk to perform daily inventory counts, maintain accurate records, and support breakage and repack operations. You will work within the Operations/Distribution Center team, starting early each morning.

The role requires basic math, ability to read pick tickets, and forklift/DC equipment experience is a plus. Health, dental, vision, and 401(k) with company match are provided.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Able to read and interpret a warehouse pick ticket.
• Basic math comprehension.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inventory counts with handheld device and reconcile against expected quantities.
• Replenish and stock racks daily using FIFO rotation.
• Salvage saleable product, verify code dates, and repackage to specs.
• Record and monitor code dates during weekly close-dated inventory counts.
• Label items with oldest code date when multiple dates exist.
• Operate DC equipment following safety guidelines.

A Distribution Center Inventory Clerk performs daily counts and reconciliation of existing product inventories while monitoring code dates and any out-of-stock situations that need attention. The Distribution Center Inventory Clerk will quickly and efficiently separate and categorize damaged product and returns; salvages and repacks breakage while maintaining accurate records of all product and repack material as it is moved in and out of the breakage room. This role is part of the Operations/Distribution Center team.

WORK TASKS

A Distribution Center Inventory Clerk can be expected to perform the following tasks in this role as a routine part of their job:

• Performs daily inventory counts with proper inventory hand held device and reconciles counts against eoStar expected quantities. (30%)
• Replenishes and stocks racks assigned to the inventory team daily utilizing FIFO rotation practices; ensures all are properly slotted. (20%)
• Salvages saleable product by verifying code date, performing a visual inspection, and cleaning product. Repacks product appropriately ensuring packing specifications are met. (20%)
• Captures and enters all code dates and quantities when performing the weekly close-dated product inventory counts. (10%)
• Monitors product code dates on all products and applies an approved code date label to all items repacked; code date label should reflect the oldest date inside the case when multiple dates are repacked together. (10%)
• Properly uses various DC equipment ensuring all guidelines and compliance requirements are followed. (10%)

QUALIFICATIONS

A qualified candidate for the Distribution Center Inventory Clerk role should satisfy the expectations below:

REQUIRED

• 18 years of Age or Older

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
