Job summary

Associated Scaffolding is seeking a Distribution Center Warehouse Associate in Durham, NC to assist with receiving, counting, and storing equipment and merchandise, ensuring accurate inventory records across the branch.

You will support the inventory department with daily operations, including stocking, order pulling for branch transfers, and forklift operation while maintaining safety and efficiency. Must meet physical requirements and pass background checks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Strong customer service skills and teamwork.
• Ability to safely handle up to 70 lbs and operate a forklift.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming orders for accuracy or damages.
• Work with inventory software (Syteline) to manage inventory.
• Pull orders for branch transfers.
• Safely secure loads by banding, wrapping, and taping as needed.
• Organize/clean distribution center when needed.
• Perform other tasks as directed by supervisor.
• Safely operate a forklift to load/unload and move items.

Job Overview:

As a Distribution Center Warehouse Associate, you will assist with receiving, counting, and putting away incoming equipment and merchandise to ensure accurate inventory records and maintain consistency across the branch. You will also support the inventory department with additional tasks needed to help ensure efficient daily operations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities, but not limited to:

1. Inspect incoming orders for accuracy or damages
2. Work with inventory software (syteline) to manage inventory
3. Pull orders for branch transfers
4. Safely secure loads by banding, wrapping, and/or taping as needed.
5. Organizing/cleaning DC when needed
6. Perform other miscellaneous assignments as directed by the supervisor.
7. Safely operate a forklift to complete assigned tasks, including loading, unloading, moving, pulling orders, and transporting products or equipment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Positive attitude and ability to work as a team.
• The ability to safely handle up to 70 lbs.
• Must hold a valid driver's license

Knowledge & Skills Needed:

• Basic computer skills
• Experienced in Microsoft office (Excel/Outlook)
• Diligent attention and knowledge of safety.
• Excellent attention to detail
• Accurate counting and basic inventory skills
• Ability to manage time efficiently and productively.
• Good oral and written communication skills in the English language.

Working Conditions

• Employees will spend periods of time indoors and outdoors working settings.
