At Academy Sports + Outdoors, our purpose is to make it easier for everyone to enjoy more sports and outdoors. The Distribution Center Team Member / Distribution Center Equipment Operator is responsible for a variety of distribution center duties to ensure the accurate and safe shipment of goods to and from the customer. Through this important work, the Distribution Center Team Member / Equipment Operator supports the distribution center in achieving customer service, associate engagement, profitability goals, and aligns with Academy's Purpose.

Job Description:

• Distribution Center Team Member
• Distribution Center Equipment Operator
• Distribution Center Loader

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current forklift certification is a plus.

Work Experiences:

• Previous related work experience preferred.
• Experience with material handling equipment (MHE) preferred.
• RF scanner and/or voice pick experience preferred.
• Familiarity with pallet jacks, forklifts, or other industrial vehicles preferred.

Skills:

• Must have a "Safety First" mentality.
• Inventory management, equipment maintenance, data entry, and basic computer skills required.
• Effective communication, organizational, time management, and mathematical skills.
• Able to multi-task and work independently.
• Ability to make decisions under pressure.
• Must follow safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks.

Physical Requirements & Attendance:

• Work safely, report unsafe conditions, and adhere to company policies.
• Report suspicious activities or theft.

Working Conditions:
