Job summary

Brake & Tire Check is seeking a reliable Distribution Center Driver/Shipping and Receiving Associate in Texas. The role combines driving, warehouse operations, and customer-facing duties to support store deliveries and inventory management.

The candidate will operate delivery vehicles safely, assist with stocking, and maintain a clean, organized warehouse. A valid Class B CDL and forklift certification are required, with at least one year in warehouse and driving experience.

Qualifications

• Must have Class B CDL.

• Proficient with basic Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Outlook/email).
• Familiarity with safety protocols in driving and warehouse settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external partners.
• Maintain a professional and positive attitude; measured by NPS assessments.
• Personally greet and engage with store employees by name.
• Coordinate delivery logistics with store management upon arrival.
• Confirm shipment placement and any specific parking arrangements.
• Report and track unshipped items and future ship dates.
• Follow up on previous backorders and returns.
• Complete and communicate store maintenance checklist with management.
• Safely operate company delivery vehicles.
• Deliver shipments to stores/customers according to the schedule.
• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of delivery trucks.
• Submit to periodic DOT drug and alcohol tests.
• Assist with stocking and inventory management.
• Pick and prepare orders for shipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment (restrooms, break rooms, equipment, outdoor areas).
• Clean restrooms, break rooms, equipment, and outdoor grounds.

Distribution Center CLASS B Driver / Shipping and Receiving Associate

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Communication

• Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external partners.
• Maintain a professional and positive attitude; measured by quarterly Net Promoter Score (NPS) assessments.
• Personally greet and engage with store employees by name.
• Coordinate delivery logistics with store management upon arrival:
• Confirm shipment placement and any specific parking arrangements.
• Report and track unshipped items and future ship dates.

Driving & Delivery

• Safely operate company delivery vehicles.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• Certified forklift operator.
• Minimum 1 year of warehouse experience.
• Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience.
• Proficient with basic Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Outlook/email).
• Familiarity with safety protocols in driving and warehouse settings.
• Ability to operate motor vehicles and warehouse equipment safely.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs without assistance.
• Regular physical activity, including standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, and climbing stairs.
• Frequent reaching overhead and below the waist.
• Comfortable standing on concrete or metal surfaces for long periods.

Additional Requirements

• Clean driving record acceptable to the companys insurance provider.
• Pass a pre-employment DOT drug and alcohol test.
• Pass a criminal background check.
