Job summary

RaceTrac is seeking a dedicated Warehouse Associate to support daily warehouse operations and ensure accurate, timely orders are prepared for delivery. You will work with WMS technology, operate pallet jacks or forklifts, and fulfill loading, labeling, boxing, and shipping tasks in Dry, Cooler, and Freezer areas, including cold environments up to -8 degrees.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily warehouse tasks to support an efficient operation.
• Use WMS unit technology to pick product in Dry, Cooler, and Freezer areas.
• Stack product on pallets following proper selecting procedures.
• Operate electric pallet jack and/or forklift to transport product.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of equipment and maintain safety.
• Clean the warehouse and associated equipment.
• Stage product for shipping and load onto delivery trucks.
• Label totes with routing information and shrink-wrap product.
• Bale cardboard and dispose of garbage.
• Sort totes and trays.
• Adhere to safety regulations and report unsafe conditions.
• Lift up to 75 pounds; work in cold environments up to -8°; flexible schedule including weekends/holidays.

Job description

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for supporting the daily functions of the RaceTrac warehouse. This individual works to ensure quality orders are processed and shipped to the designated locations in a timely fashion. This position requires working until end-of-shift until all product is loaded onto trucks in a safe and efficient manner. Working weekends and holidays are required in order to successfully fulfill store orders. Job requires working in areas with temperature and humidity variations based on different work environments (Dry, Cooler, & Freezer).

What You'll Do:

Carries out daily warehouse tasks to ultimately support an efficient and effective warehouse. These tasks include, but are not limited to:

• Using WMS unit technology to pick product within various warehouse environments of fluctuating temperatures, including Dry, Cooler, and Freezer (up to -8) areas for the store orders
• Stacking product on pallets in accordance with proper selecting procedures
• Operates an electric pallet jack and/or forklift to transport product
• Maintains and safely operates all assigned equipment, including but not limited to pallet jack, WMS unit technology, and personal protective equipment. Performs pre- and post-trip inspections, and safely operates all mechanical equipment.
• Cleaning the warehouse and associated equipment
• Staging product in designated locations for shipping purposes
• Loading product from designated locations onto delivery trucks
• Labeling totes with routing information
• Shrink-wrapping product onto pallets
• Baling cardboard and disposing of garbage
• Sorting totes and trays
• Adhering to all safety regulations, including both food and warehouse safety regulations, and immediately advises management of any unsafe conditions
• Has the ability to lift up to 75 pounds; frequently reach up to 72 inches, and repeatedly bends, stands, and reaches while operating a pallet jack and/or forklift, retrieving items from lower shelf areas, with no or infrequent breaks
• Has the ability to work in cold environments up to -8° for an entire shift
• Has the ability to work rapidly at a constant pace for the entire shift, in a fast-paced environment
• Has the ability to work a flexible schedule including to varying start/finish times, weekends, and holidays
