Job summary

Newell Brands is seeking a DC Associate in the United States for an onsite, full-time role within our Supply Chain team. You will process orders, manage inbound/outbound shipments, and use RF guns and Salesforce to maintain accuracy and quality.

Ideal candidates have at least 6 months in distribution/warehouse environments, forklift experience, and proficiency withPkMS and Excel. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
  • At least 6 months experience in distribution/warehouse environment; forklift driving experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of warehouse systems (PkMS) and proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to read, write and perform basic math skills with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Process orders and track inbound/outbound shipments using RF guns and computers.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by following policies and regulations.
  • Create labels, manage items in Salesforce, and assist with quality issues.
  • Move pallets, stack boxes, and operate powered material handling equipment.
  • Conduct daily audits and ensure accuracy of inventory and quality standards.

SHIFT: 1ST, Mon-Fri, 6a-2p

The DC Associate is responsible for processing orders through various areas, including those that require the use of powered material handling equipment in a manner that meets company standards for safety, quality, productivity and accuracy.

  • Maintain safe work environment by being aware of surroundings; following standards and procedures; complying with operating policies and regulations.
  • Manage accounts, shipping and tracking all items (inbound and outbound) for CS.
  • Batch and drop orders for repair center.
  • Create all labels.
  • Use Salesforce to complete consumer samples.
  • Assist with quality issues and inspection.
  • Assist with all Grainger labels and orders.
  • Maintain list of all mix pack items on a weekly basis.
  • Maintain all return and quality racks.
  • Perform daily audits.
  • Pack box of items and stack boxes on pallets properly.
  • Secure and move finished pallets; move empty pallets.
  • Wear all required safety PPE and operate all work duties in a safe manner following proper procedures.
  • Take individual responsibility in keeping work area organized and clean.
  • Maintain quality and production standards
  • Must be able to qualify for and maintain forklift license; valid state issued driver’s license and successful completion of eye exam required.
  • Physical effort lifting and moving material or objects that are average weight continuously and heavy weight material or objects occasionally.
  • Ability to move inside warehouse and remain in stationary position up to 10 – 12 hours.
  • Bend, stretch, push, pull and reach low and high places frequently.
  • Operate buttons on computer and RF guns.
  • Ascend/descend 3 step ladder that crosses over conveyor.
  • Move light weight objects or material overhead occasionally.
  • Ability to work in high places of 35-40 ft.
  • Ability to look up to high places (35-40 ft.) by bending neck.
  • Engage in full manual dexterity in both hands, wrists, and arms.
  • Ability to perform visual quality Inspection of product functionality and color.
  • HS Diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
  • At least 6 months prior experience in distribution/ warehouse environment; forklift driving experience preferred.
  • Must be able to qualify for and maintain forklift license; valid state issued driver’s license and successful completion of eye exam required.
  • Knowledge of warehouse systems (PkMS).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to read, write and perform basic math skills with strong attention to detail including speed and accuracy in counting and verification.
  • Highly motivated team player, willing to accept additional responsibilities and strive for continuous improvement.
  • Interact with and work well with others in various fast changing environments/situations.
  • Ability to prioritize, manage time, and carry out multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed.
