Job summary

Synergy Business Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Logistics Analyst to support freight negotiations and logistic activities for both domestic and international sourced products.

The role involves coordinating ocean freight, trucking, and warehouse operations while balancing competing priorities across the premiums hub facilities. Applicants should have a four-year degree (master’s preferred) and experience in Asia logistics U.S.

Qualifications

  • Four-year degree required; master’s a plus.
  • Experience in Asia logistics U.S inbound environment desired.
  • Familiarity with international lead time and domestic over-the-road truck transportation strategies is desired.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Perform freight analysis and freight negotiation process for those supply agreements assigned by Supply Chain Manager.
  • Assist in the optimization of supplier logistics packaging and coordinate with Supply Chain Manager to ensure that optimized solutions are implemented.
  • Perform Logistics savings calculations and update savings files.
  • Present manual freight adjustment calculations to Supply Chain Manager for approval.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of carrier rate benchmarks to aid in the validation of supplier freight rate proposals.
  • Evaluate opportunities to utilize redistribution to lower landed cost during contract negotiation process.
  • Assist in the review of outside logistics providers when appropriate, to provide an alternative low-cost solution to supplier or distributor provided logistics programs and make the appropriate recommendations.
  • Maintain detailed record of distributor managed inbound lanes and the associated freight rate agreement.
  • Assist in meetings with distributors to review rates, communicate upcoming RFPs and discuss topics related to distributor managed freight lanes.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of current transportation pricing environment and trends.
  • Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for premiums activities and perform quarterly reviews with logistics providers (trucking, warehouse personnel, ocean carriers).
  • Assist in any onboarding processes with premiums hub warehouse and transportation providers.
  • Ensure that all protocols are followed to validate the security and tracking of premiums loads outbound from hub facilities.
  • Ensure accurate maintenance of PPI historical tables and adjustment schedules the
  • Coordinate performance reporting and tracking of adherence to ocean freight contracts.
  • Develop the origin container consolidation plan in accordance with ocean carrier contracts and ocean container Minimum Quantity Commitments.
  • Perform outbound carrier selection and coordinate the contracting process with Logistics Manager.
  • Review and reconcile ocean freight and LAR logistics budgets for each promotion.

The Logistics Analyst will be responsible for assisting with freight negotiations and supporting logistic activities associated with both domestically and internationally sourced products as assigned. The Logistics Analyst will have multiple cross functional activities within the department and must be able to balance priorities spanning ocean freight, the operational activities of the premiums hub warehouse facilities, and domestic truck transportation. The Logistics Analyst will need to be a reliable and versatile resource within the logistics department

Logistics Activities
