Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience for large-scale systems
• 2+ years designing and developing large-scale distributed software applications
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in CS, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
• Experience programming with at least one software language

Responsibilities

• Design, build and optimize software to run an exchange for computing resources including pricing models and distribution of risk
• Design, build and optimize customer facing features for cost-effective product selection and EC2 usage
• Define intuitive web-service APIs and develop new customer features rapidly using AWS technologies
• Mentor junior engineers and grow technical capabilities within the team
• Automatically deploy and monitor services to identify performance issues before customers notice
• Recruit and hire software developers to raise the bar across teams
• Collaborate to improve service architecture and developer experience
