Job summary

Dedalus Labs, an AI research neolab in San Francisco, seeks engineers to design and build distributed infrastructure for large-scale AI agent workloads. You will help develop scheduling platforms, virtualization capabilities, and reliable multi-tenant systems.

We value deep systems expertise, production-grade judgment, and experience with cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes. In-person collaboration in San Francisco is expected, with visa sponsorship and relocation support available.

Qualifications

• Strong systems programming ability in Rust (preferred), Go, C/C++, or similar languages.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, operating systems, and concurrent programming.
• Experience building distributed systems in industry, research, or open source.
• Strong engineering judgment around performance, scalability, reliability, and debugging.
• Experience with Kubernetes and modern cloud infrastructure.
• Ability to design systems that remain reliable under production workloads.
• High agency and excellent engineering judgment.

Responsibilities

• Design and build distributed infrastructure for large-scale AI agent workloads.
• Develop scheduling/orchestration platforms and virtualization/ sandboxing infrastructure.
• Improve reliability and fault tolerance across distributed infrastructure.
• Build internal developer platforms and tooling for production systems.
