Job summary

Mondrian Alpha, a private credit fund, seeks an experienced Asset Manager in New York to lead distressed assets and covenant breach restructurings. You will perform deep analysis, design restructuring strategies, and manage execution with input from legal and portfolio teams.

Ideal candidates have 4–7 years in asset management or restructuring, an MBA or equivalent, and CFA/CPA is a plus. You will engage with borrowers, co-lenders, and regulators to maximize value for the fund.

Qualifications

• MBA or equivalent experience in finance.
• 4-7 years in asset management or restructuring.
• CFA/CPA certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze distressed assets to identify covenant breaches and restructuring options.
• Develop and oversee restructuring plans including debt restructurings and operational improvements.
• Engage borrowers, co-lenders, legal advisors to negotiate terms.
• Monitor restructured assets within the portfolio and ensure compliance.
• Prepare reports for LPs, management, and regulators on performance and strategy.
• Monitor market trends and regulatory changes affecting distressed assets.
• Collaborate with investment, legal and operational teams for cohesive execution.
