FOOD & BEVERAGE MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION
Flying Dutchman Spirits seeks a friendly, proactive, and energetic bar manager committed to providing our guests with a high-quality cocktail experience. The bar manager will promote and grow the business, hire and train waitstaff, and ensure guests receive excellent drinks, food, and service. The bar manager will also manage inventory and resources, ensure quality and safety controls are followed, maintain current licenses and update vendor contracts, create schedules, and set business objectives to increase profits and maximize guest satisfaction. You should also be able to work with diverse personalities and diffuse tense situations.
·Managing the business aspects of the cocktail lounge, negotiating supplier contracts, taking inventory and reordering supplies, managing budgets, and setting goals.
·Hiring and training staff to provide excellent service to guests.
·Create effective schedules and quickly resolve conflicts to ensure the bar is well-staffed during peak hours.
·Setting and enforcing quality and safety controls.
·Working with diverse personalities both on the staff and guests.
·Planning and taking part in promotional events.
·Maintaining a fun, safe atmosphere for guests.
·High school diploma or equivalent.
·ServeSafe certified or equivalent
·Entry level to 2 years of food background experience
·Restaurant or management experience or more education is generally preferred.
·Strong understanding of business management and accounting principles.
·Excellent computer, problem-solving, and guest service skills.
·Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
·Ability to diffuse tense situations and resolve conflicts.
·Availability to work during peak hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
·Effectively delegate responsibilities and maximize resources.
·Ability to stand, walk, bend, etc., for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
Compensation Package:
$60,000 base salary plus bonus opportunities
