Job summary

A-Gas is hiring a Process Operator I in Texas to support the operation of state-of-the-art refrigerant distillation columns. You will perform setups, teardowns, transfers, bulk movements and safety checks to help increase gas processing capacity at the site.

The role requires at least a high school diploma and chemical process experience or an associates degree, with HazMat and EPA 608 certifications obtainable. Expect a 12-hour shift, rotating days/nights, with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; 2+ years chemical process experience or an Associates degree preferred.
• HazMat and EPA 608 certifications must be obtainable.
• Excellent math skills and mechanical aptitude are required.
• Experience in manufacturing or chemical production is preferred.
• Experience with pumps, hoses, compressors, PMS, and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Excel/Word) is expected.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe operation of the distillation column with Operator II and Lead Operator support.
• Monitor tank farm and facility controls (pressure gauges, scale monitors).
• Report faults and maintenance issues to leadership to ensure safety and quality.
• Update daily production results, leak checks, and performance by task.
• Promote a Health and Safety culture and safe practices.
• Uphold company health and safety policies.
• Ensure quality control is implemented on a continuous basis.
• Perform other tasks as required.
