Distillation Operator

Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate distillation and reactor equipment under both vacuum and atmospheric conditions, controlling heat, vacuum, reflux, and other process parameters.
- Follow batch instructions to mix compounds, transfer raw materials, operate pumps, hoses, scales, and forklifts, and safely process materials in designated vessels.
- Maintain accurate batch records, distillation logs, ERP transactions, stock labels, and Quality samples throughout the production process.
- Follow GMP, SQF, HACCP, FDA, USDA, food safety, quality, and internal safety procedures while making batch adjustments as directed by Quality.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing, batching, distillation, or chemical processing environment; ability to understand and follow computerized work instructions.
- Working knowledge of distillation, separation, solvent recovery, vacuum/open and closed systems, forward and reflux distillation, and related equipment.
- Ability to safely operate forklifts and production equipment, frequently lift up to 50 lbs., multitask, and work effectively under moderate supervision.
- Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English with strong communication and documentation skills.
Preferences
- General chemistry knowledge or formal training in chemistry, chemical processing, or a related field.
- Experience working in a GMP, SQF, HACCP, FDA, USDA, food manufacturing, or similarly regulated production environment.
Pay Rate Range - 24-28 per hour
