Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking a Distillation Operator to oversee the processing of hazardous waste materials through thin film evaporators and pot stills, ensuring compliance with permit regulations and customer specs. The role includes training distillation operators, supervising sampling, and coordinating waste material runs.

The position emphasizes strong teamwork, safety, and leadership skills, with on-site responsibilities and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

Experience in hazardous waste handling is preferred.
Strong teamwork and safety awareness are essential.
Ability to supervise and train others.

Responsibilities

Schedule and coordinate the run of waste materials on the distillation unit.
Maintain logs and data on charge/discharge pot stills to meet product specs.
Supervise compatibility testing on hazardous materials for proper recovery.
Maintain schedule of sample collection and route to lab with proper paperwork.
Supervise loading, unloading, and sampling of bulk tankers/drums for contents accuracy.
Train new distillation operators in daily responsibilities and provide guidance.
Perform Distillation Operator I & II duties and responsibilities as needed.
Perform Distillation operations as necessary.
Other duties as assigned.
