Job summary

Tops Markets is seeking a Distribution Logistics and Systems Analyst to support distribution center operations with data-driven insights. You will develop and maintain databases, build reports, and design system solutions based on user requirements to improve store service levels and reduce costs.

The role requires strong SQL/MS Access skills, knowledge of BI tools, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced warehouse environment. A related degree or progress toward one is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or Information Systems (or progress toward).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with relational database concepts and SQL basics.
• Experience with SQL Management Studio preferred and BI tools a plus.
• Supply chain/logistics experience preferred and ability to work independently.
• Strong English communication and compliance with policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide database and analytical support for distribution center operations.

• Manage the HR discipline tracking database and generate ad hoc reports.

• Troubleshoot and maintain warehouse equipment as assigned.

The Distribution Logistics and Systems Analyst is responsible for developing systems and analyses that support distribution center operations, enhancing store service levels while maximizing efficiency and reducing operational costs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide database and analytical support for the distribution center operations team.
• Develop and update database structures and reports, using SQL and Visual Basic to enhance queries, forms, reports, and linked Excel files.
• Design and implement business and system solutions based on specifications gathered from users and business requirements.
• Develop user-friendly tools for various mainframe applications.
• Manage the human resources associate discipline tracking database.
• Generate ad hoc reports as requested by the operations team.
• Build ad hoc database reports using Microsoft Access.
• Create item attribute reports to identify data inaccuracies and update the warehouse management system.
• Provide ongoing support to the warehouse operations team as needed.
• Prioritize multiple tasks to meet target deadlines.
• Maintain a high standard of attention to detail, integrity, and reliability.
• Ability to work in a cold perishable or frozen warehouse environment if needed.
• Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.
• Troubleshoot and maintain warehouse equipment

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be 18 years of age

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelors Degree (or progress towards a degree) in Business, Supply Chain Management, or Information Systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint).
• Understanding of relational database principles.
• Experience with SQL Management Studio is preferred.
• Knowledge or experience with BI applications is a plus.
• Experience in supply chain/logistics is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to varying shifts if needed.
• Proficient in English, with strong communication skills.
• Compliance with all company policies and procedures.
