American Electric Power (AEP) is seeking a Dist. Line Crew Supervisor NE to oversee a line crew in the safe construction, maintenance, operation and retirement of distribution lines.
The role requires two years of Line Mechanic A experience, a valid Class A CDL, and a strong focus on safety and compliance. Responsibilities include directing switching operations, mentoring line mechanics, and ensuring adherence to company policies.
Responsible to assigned Line Management for supervising the work of a line crew and performing the work of a Line Mechanic A. The type of work involves construction operation and maintenance of distribution, overhead and underground facilities. Activities associated with the performance of this work include planning procedures, directing or supervising assigned crew members, and exercising independent judgment.

Drive Time Requirement: Successful candidate must live or be willing to relocate within 30 miles of the South Point Service Center (409 Technology Drive South Point, OH 45680).
Dist. Line Crew Supervisor NE (SG8): $132,080 or $63.50 an hour

The Physical Demand Level for this job is: H - Heavy Work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10-20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work.
