Job description

3. Experience working in a laboratory setting with optical testing equipment.

1. Master’s degree or PhD in Optics, Electrical Engineering, or Physics.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $174,000-$258,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Salary is role, level, and location-dependent, with individual pay influenced by skills, experience, and education. Recruiters will share specific salary details during hiring.

Responsibilities:

1. Design and develop metrology equipment for near-eye display testing at component and device levels.
2. Conduct characterization tests and contribute to developing new test metrics and stations for prototypes and system assemblies.
3. Evaluate subsystem and device performance using image quality, radiometric, and colorimetric metrics, comparing against established standards.
4. Assist in automating image capture and processing, developing new strategies and algorithms.
5. Analyze and troubleshoot optical metrology tools, perform repeatability tests, and report results using data science and statistical analyses.
