Apple's display team is searching for a candidate on the optical simulation, design, and validation of the next generation of Apple displays! This role will involve future display technology development for the best consumer products in the world. We look forward to seeing what you are capable of!

Key Responsibilities

Display module optical design and preliminary specifications with justificationsCharacterize prototypes and perform large-set data analysis on manufacturing build unitsDevelop sophisticated metrics to quantify image quality with corresponding specificationsDrive failure analysis on display optical issues and develop corresponding mitigationsDevelop optical component technologies for future display implementation

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s and three years of experience in physics, optics, or related fields.Expertise in the field of optics, physics, optical components (lens, film, thin film coating etc), image processing, machine learning, or computer science.Proficiency of using programming languages (MATLAB, Python etc) and statistic tools (JMP etc) to solve practical engineering problems.Strong analytical & critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.Concise & effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills in English.Able to travel overseas.

Preferred Qualifications

A broad engineering background encompassing display technologies, optical simulation (LightTools, Speos etc), and electric engineering.Hands-on experience in mass production consumer electronics or display related systems.Experience in working closely with multi-functional teams, as well as with overseas suppliers.
