The Display & Color Quality team's collective experience spans:- Motion Picture and Color Science- Signal Processing and Video Coding- Color and Display Management- Software and Application Development- Subjective and Objective Image Quality Assessment- Video, Image and Display Standards
Minimum Qualifications
- Software development experience in one or more of the following: C/C++, Objective C/Swift, MATLAB, Python
- Knowledge or experience in HDR WCG formats, such as Dolby Vision, HDR10/HDR10+ and HLG-HDR
- Knowledge or experience in video and image systems and display technologies and laboratory tools equipment commonly used to evaluate them
- Knowledge of video compression standards, video quality metrics, common video tools and video frameworks

- You have strong analytical skills and can present compelling and clear results
- You bring with you confidence from your years of experience, combined with a humble attitude, and a willingness to learn and benefit from the experience of others
- You have excellent judgment and integrity with the ability to make timely and sound decisions that take into account a diversity of opinions and experience.
- You have an ability to stay focused and prioritize your workload while achieving extraordinary quality
- You are upbeat, adaptable, and results oriented with a positive attitude
- You are driven by the desire to realize the best customer experience, even when achieving that goal might mean re-evaluating current practices and challenging existing assumptions
- BS, MS, PHD in CS/EE or equivalent experience
- Successful candidates will typically meet some but not all the additional requirements:
- Proficient in Linux/Darwin command line environments
- Experience conducting or participating in subjective visual quality user studies
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
