Job Summary

The Dispensary Supervisor assists with day‑to‑day operations of the dispensary and supports the management team. This role ensures best‑in‑class customer service, compliance with regulations and company standards, and motivates associates to perform at a high level. Excellent leadership, inventory understanding, and product knowledge are essential.

Primary Responsibilities

• Deliver best‑in‑class customer service.
• Follow and uphold established policies for sales and customer service to ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain in‑depth knowledge of all store products and industry‑wide product knowledge; train and share that knowledge with the team.
• Assist with monitoring and maintaining inventory levels and communicate inventory action items with the Assistant Manager and General Manager.
• Assist all associates in customer consultations to ensure informed product choices.
• Complete and appropriately delegate tasks assigned during a shift, including:
  • Correct cash handling.
  • Accurate use and maintenance of the POS system.
  • Accurate and timely data entry in both the POS system and inventory tracking system.
  • Assistance in verifying order deliveries for accuracy.
  • Ensure adherence to security measures and safety compliance.
  • Maintain an organized and clean store.
  • Manage the visitor log.
  • End‑of‑day daily update emails.
  • Ensure accuracy with the vault.
• Work with the management team to ensure smooth retail operations and compliance with applicable rules and regulations.
• Address daily activities, maintenance, and data collection for any reported issues or complaints.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Assist with onboarding and training of new staff in partnership with the management team.

Job Requirements

• Cannabis experience required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Strong retail math skills.
• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years supervisory or management experience in a retail setting, specifically with POS operations.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Positive attitude, team player, and strong work ethic.
• Understanding of applicable state and local laws and regulations, personnel law, safety regulations, local municipal codes, and organizational SOPs.
• Compliance with all regulatory requirements for working in the cannabis industry.
• Excellent organization and time‑management skills.
• Attention to detail; ability to internalize training and follow instructions.
• Clear and effective communication skills.

Physical Demands

The role requires standing, walking, sitting, using hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, reaching with hands and arms, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, talking, hearing, tasting, smelling, and lifting or moving up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
